At Houseplant.co.uk, we want to ensure that you choose the perfect plant for your space. Here's how we measure our plants:
Plant Height:
Measured from the base of the nursery pot to the top of the plant, including the full length of the stem and foliage.
Pot Size:
Refers to the total width across the top of the pot.
Choosing the Right Size
To find the perfect fit, compare the diameter of your plant's grow pot to the opening diameter of your chosen decorative pot. Ensure the decorative pot is at least 1-3cm larger in diameter than the grow pot for easy insertion and removal.
Important Notes
- Plant sizes are approximate and include the depth of the plant pot and roots, not just the height from the top of the soil.
- If a specific plant size is not available, we may provide a larger plant at no additional cost to you.
- All of our plants, unless otherwise stated are supplied in a nursery pot with the exception of air plants or lucky bamboo or otherwise listed in the product description.

First time buyer! The photos and associated information on the website was really helpful and accurate. Large variety of plants - was difficult to narrow down my choices. Plants arrived quickly, safe and sound and are healthy, beautiful specimens. Would recommend and will no doubt order more now that I know the quality of what’s on offer. (Also, bought fabric/jute pots, they are a great addition and it’s helpful that required sizes are indicated on the same page)
