I’ve recently bought a number of plants from Houseplants UK. I like the pot choice during the ordering process, they are packaged well and arrive swiftly and in good condition. The website has a good advice section for the plants which, for a novice like me, is invaluable. I particularly like the ‘pet friendly’ plants. I would add, however, that the website could include related L, suggested items (plant food etc) when putting items in the basket…but it’s just a thought.

Brilliant customer service

I have only just placed my order but I had to make a review now because this companies customer service is top tier. I accidentally bought a plant which would be toxic to my cat and they promptly replied within 24 hours, changing my order to another plant which was safe for my little cat. I am so pleased with this support. I wouldn’t be worried to shop here again since even though it is online, it is easy to contact customer support and they were ever so kind. I was really stressed but they have put me at ease and I would buy from this company again because I know I can trust them.

Cling film secured?!!

Received 3 plants in a box, too tightly packed in cling film so that the leaves of one plant were completely splayed and the other 2 were squashed into pots which were too small for the plants and secured with tightly packed cling film.?!!? I bought these 3 on the strength of previously buying a Yucca for myself and one as a birthday present for someone else. They were well packaged and in wonderful condition, healthy plants that are growing beautifully. Unfortunately the packaging of these 3 was over zealous with more thought going into squeezing them into a small space rather than the health of the plants. Have reported all 3 and given them some TLC. We'll see if they thrive in the future or completely fail. Watch this space!

Being a very fussy houseplant collector...

Being a very fussy houseplant collector and especially a lover of large impact houseplants I decided to look for a fairly rare plant and I had been eyeing up this Syngonium Albomarginata Variegata Aurea Arrowhead Vine for weeks before plunging into buying it. I had searched high and low for the largest specimen I could find online and this store was the only store that had the largest specimen, and the added bonus of a nice discount to boot sealed the deal. From ordering to taking receipt of my plant was 2 days, that's good service in my books. The post arrived carefully handled sitting transit as there was no damage to the packaging, the plant was wrapped and the pot wrapped in cling film, so all in all very happy with this part, now the plant was at the taller of the advertised height which is good too and no damage to any of the leaves. I'm always nervous buying rare out any decent sized houseplants online, but this store has exceeded my fussy standards for delivery and packaging and plant quality. Big thumbs up..

SCAMMERRRS! Avoid!!!! I got this “pink philodendron” and is in a horrible condition, is only worth it to go straight to the bin. The plant is hardly “standing, it’s crooked and there’s no “pink” in any of the leafs, what a rip off!

I have ordered here a few times as they seem to have orchids which you cant quite find anywhere else at times! Really good stock! I have had a few issues with the plants I have ordered. For example I ordered 3 mystery orchids and they were all phals and they didnt really make it through transport so each died within 1-3 days. A few days ago I ordered one of their jewel orchids which only had two parts growing rather than the 3/4 in the images they showed on their website. I am aware there must be a lot of variablity as I ordered an oncidium and this had sgnificantly more pseudobulbs than their images provided (well impressed!), so take that in mind when ordering from here. Very receptive customer service whenever I emailed them about my concerns, thus would recommend them and would buy again. Just be aware of the variability and that fragile plants may indeed get damaged like orchids at times.

The order wad executed well and received in good time, the one issue I have with my recent order is that the fern plant had half of the leaves twisted inwards as if they had neen crushed. I gave them a spray and caressed them back into shape, not sure how they would have been if delivery had taken longer.

I contacted Houseplant.co.uk twice to see if they would replace or compensate me in some way, and received radio silence. Really disappointed both in plant quality and customer service.
