Plant height measurement: How we measure the height of our houseplants from pot to top

At Houseplant.co.uk, we want to ensure that you choose the perfect plant for your space. Here's how we measure our plants:

Plant Height:

Measured from the base of the nursery pot to the top of the plant, including the full length of the stem and foliage.

Pot Size:

Refers to the total width across the top of the pot.

Choosing the Right Size

To find the perfect fit, compare the diameter of your plant's grow pot to the opening diameter of your chosen decorative pot. Ensure the decorative pot is at least 1-3cm larger in diameter than the grow pot for easy insertion and removal.

Important Notes

  • Plant sizes are approximate and include the depth of the plant pot and roots, not just the height from the top of the soil.
  • If a specific plant size is not available, we may provide a larger plant at no additional cost to you.

Good light is important to get the best show from your Moth Orchid, but absolutely no direct sunlight as the rays will scorch your leaves. Rotate the plant regularly to encourage even growth. When the plant is well-hydrated the leaves will look full and fleshy whilst the roots will look a grey-green. Silvery roots are either a sign of dehydration or older roots.

    3 of the plants were fine....

    3 of the plants were fine. However the orchid came with no flowers on it and hardly any buds left on
