Houseplant Size Guide
At Houseplant.co.uk, we want to ensure that you choose the perfect plant for your space. Here's how we measure our plants:
Plant Height:
Measured from the base of the nursery pot to the top of the plant, including the full length of the stem and foliage.
Pot Size:
Refers to the total width across the top of the pot.
Choosing the Right Size
To find the perfect fit, compare the diameter of your plant's grow pot to the opening diameter of your chosen decorative pot. Ensure the decorative pot is at least 1-3cm larger in diameter than the grow pot for easy insertion and removal.
Important Notes
- Plant sizes are approximate and include the depth of the plant pot and roots, not just the height from the top of the soil.
- If a specific plant size is not available, we may provide a larger plant at no additional cost to you.
- All of our plants, unless otherwise stated are supplied in a nursery pot with the exception of air plants or lucky bamboo or otherwise listed in the product description.

What is the Money Plant Sunset Known For?
The Money Plant Sunset, known botanically as Crassula Ovata, is prized for its vibrant green leaves that take on a beautiful hue of pink or red when exposed to adequate sunlight. Not only does it bring a splash of colour to your home, but it's also renowned for its ease of care, making it ideal for both novice and experienced plant owners.
What Is the History of the Money Plant Sunset?
The Crassula Ovata, commonly known as the Money Plant, has been a part of various cultural traditions for centuries. It is often associated with Feng Shui and is believed to bring good luck, prosperity, and positive energy. The 'Sunset' variety brings its own unique twist with its colourful foliage, adding an aesthetic and spiritual dimension to your living space.
Where Does the Money Plant Sunset Originate?
The Money Plant Sunset is native to South Africa. It thrives in rocky terrains and dry soil conditions, making it a drought-tolerant plant. This attribute is a big reason why it's a popular houseplant; it doesn't require frequent watering and is forgiving if you forget to water it now and then.
Are Money Plant Sunset Toxic to Pets?
While the Money Plant Sunset is not as toxic as some other houseplants, it's still best to keep it out of reach of pets. If ingested, it can cause mild gastrointestinal discomfort in cats and dogs. Always exercise caution and place it in an area where your furry friends can't easily access it.
