Bring bold colour and height to the garden with Lobelia ‘Starship Scarlet’, a striking upright perennial with vivid scarlet-red flowers and beautifully dark bronze-green foliage.
Flowering from summer into early autumn, its tall stems create a dramatic display in borders, patio pots and mixed planting schemes. The brightly coloured, nectar-rich flowers are also a welcome source of food for bees, butterflies and other visiting pollinators.
Plant in full sun or partial shade and keep the soil consistently moist, particularly during warm weather. Unlike the small bedding lobelia commonly used in baskets, this variety forms a tall, upright clump and can reach approximately 60–90cm once established.

At Houseplant.co.uk, we want to ensure that you choose the perfect plant for your space. Here's how we measure our plants:
Plant Height:
Measured from the base of the nursery pot to the top of the plant, including the full length of the stem and foliage.
Pot Size:
Refers to the total width across the top of the pot.
Choosing the Right Size
To find the perfect fit, compare the diameter of your plant's grow pot to the opening diameter of your chosen decorative pot. Ensure the decorative pot is at least 1-3cm larger in diameter than the grow pot for easy insertion and removal.
Important Notes
- Plant sizes are approximate and include the depth of the plant pot and roots, not just the height from the top of the soil.
- If a specific plant size is not available, we may provide a larger plant at no additional cost to you.
- All of our plants, unless otherwise stated are supplied in a nursery pot with the exception of air plants or lucky bamboo or otherwise listed in the product description.
