Plant height measurement: How we measure the height of our houseplants from pot to top

At Houseplant.co.uk, we want to ensure that you choose the perfect plant for your space. Here's how we measure our plants:

Plant Height:

Measured from the base of the nursery pot to the top of the plant, including the full length of the stem and foliage.

Pot Size:

Refers to the total width across the top of the pot.

Choosing the Right Size

To find the perfect fit, compare the diameter of your plant's grow pot to the opening diameter of your chosen decorative pot. Ensure the decorative pot is at least 1-3cm larger in diameter than the grow pot for easy insertion and removal.

Important Notes

  • Plant sizes are approximate and include the depth of the plant pot and roots, not just the height from the top of the soil.
  • If a specific plant size is not available, we may provide a larger plant at no additional cost to you.

    Such an interesting and wide Orchid...

    Such an interesting and wide Orchid experience. I ordered one for a friend, and between me and the system my friends address was replaced by mine. As this was a gift post op I did not want to intrude by taking it along to her, after it arrived with me, so I sent initially an email. This was followed up by a message on the contact form. All was not lost and the reply said they had changed the delivery address. Lo and behold it arrived at the right place. Thank you Houseplant.
