Plant height measurement: How we measure the height of our houseplants from pot to top

At Houseplant.co.uk, we want to ensure that you choose the perfect plant for your space. Here's how we measure our plants:

Plant Height:

Measured from the base of the nursery pot to the top of the plant, including the full length of the stem and foliage.

Pot Size:

Refers to the total width across the top of the pot.

Choosing the Right Size

To find the perfect fit, compare the diameter of your plant's grow pot to the opening diameter of your chosen decorative pot. Ensure the decorative pot is at least 1-3cm larger in diameter than the grow pot for easy insertion and removal.

Important Notes

  • Plant sizes are approximate and include the depth of the plant pot and roots, not just the height from the top of the soil.
  • If a specific plant size is not available, we may provide a larger plant at no additional cost to you.

If you're feeling clever, the official name for the Bilberry is Myrtillocactus Geometrizans. A blue-green cactus with five or six 'ribs', it can grow up to 5 metres tall in it's natural habitat. A mature plant will gift you with creamy white flowers in Summer. Long spines will make you want to keep your distance from this beauty, but the long, dark-red edible fruits might change your mind. Please note height and stem count can differ depending on natural variance and the variant selected.
