Houseplant Size Guide
At Houseplant.co.uk, we want to ensure that you choose the perfect plant for your space. Here's how we measure our plants:
Plant Height:
Measured from the base of the nursery pot to the top of the plant, including the full length of the stem and foliage.
Pot Size:
Refers to the total width across the top of the pot.
Choosing the Right Size
To find the perfect fit, compare the diameter of your plant's grow pot to the opening diameter of your chosen decorative pot. Ensure the decorative pot is at least 1-3cm larger in diameter than the grow pot for easy insertion and removal.
Important Notes
- Plant sizes are approximate and include the depth of the plant pot and roots, not just the height from the top of the soil.
- If a specific plant size is not available, we may provide a larger plant at no additional cost to you.
- All of our plants, unless otherwise stated are supplied in a nursery pot with the exception of air plants or lucky bamboo or otherwise listed in the product description.

What is the Donkey's Tail Burrito Known For?
The Donkey's Tail Burrito, or Hylotelephium Sieboldii, is celebrated for its distinctive trailing stems and plump, round foliage. The leaves, resembling a string of green pearls or burritos, cascade beautifully, making it a favourite for hanging baskets and high shelves.
What Is the History of the Donkey's Tail Burrito?
This succulent has its roots in the traditional Japanese horticulture where it was first cultivated for its ornamental beauty. It was prized in stone gardens and as a part of miniature living landscapes, admired for its serene and graceful appearance.
Where Does the Donkey's Tail Burrito Originate?
Native to the rocky outcroppings of Japan, Hylotelephium Sieboldii has evolved to thrive in well-drained soil with minimal water. Its succulent leaves store water, allowing it to survive in the dry, mountainous regions.
Are Donkey's Tail Burrito Toxic to Pets?
Hylotelephium Sieboldii is generally considered non-toxic to pets. However, as with many succulents, it's best to keep it out of reach as overeating any plant material can potentially cause digestive upset in animals.

Truly amazing my plants arrived quickly and in perfect condition. The plants, four of them, had all been careful packed to protect their leaves and branches.

Donkey's Tail | Burrito ordered with other itemsAwful customer service
My order placed on 15th Aug finally arrived on 29th Aug. I emailed photos of the Mother of Thousands, it was rotted at the base & all the leaves had fallen off. Despite issues with the Couriers DX I requested another plant by a different courier ( Royal Mail) but customer service said that wasn't possible as they only used DX. I was offered a 35% discount & advice how to propagate the leaves !! Finally got a refund & that they had assessed my photos incorrectly. Will never use this company again. Beware !!!
